Joyful learning

What does joyful learning look like at STM?

Young children often talk passionately about what they learn and do in school. At Saint Thomas More Catholic School, we strive to continue that passion and ignite a lifelong love of learning. Our Pre-K4 through 8th grade students are given opportunities to nurture their curiosity and experience delight while interacting with meaningful and engaging content.

Our curriculum follows the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta Curriculum Standards which adhere to both the national and Georgia state standards and readies students with essential skills for both in and out of the classroom. It places strong emphasis on inspiring a global sense of understanding, respect, and compassion for others and the courage to put our Catholic faith into action.

Our community of supportive teachers and staff work to help every child achieve to their fullest potential. Though our learning environment is academically challenging, teachers use a variety of innovative teaching strategies to heighten learning and make it fun. By differentiating their instructional approaches, our teachers also are better able to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Visit our classrooms and see students who are laughing, interacting in groups, or being creative with art, music, or dance. You'll see engaging whole-class discussions and dynamic, student-centered learning experiences which immerse students in debate and creative thinking.
